This loom is ideal for introducing students to the ancient craft of tapestry. It provides four heddle bars so beginning weavers can experiment with 4-shaft pattern weaving. Sheds are formed using heddle bars and string heddles. To keep warp tension even, it has a tension beam with thumbscrews on the end for easy adjustment. Continuous warping allows a 60" long warp to be put directly on the loom without other warping tools. Trestle Stand — Designed for use with Schacht's Rigid Heddle Loom and Portable Tapestry Loom, it adjusts to a variety of working angles, from horizontal to nearly vertical. (Not pictured here.) |
