Best's University Easel is a professional easel for oil painters, acrylic painters, and pastel artists. Indeed, it's designed specifically for those artists who work in both mediums. It offers a wide range of tilt adjustments, and can tilt forward to nearly 60°, unusual for an easel of its size. Other easels can do vertical and forward tilt, but the University Easel actually makes it feel good. The canvas holders are cantilevered outward so that the easel's weight and center of gravity stay back when the easel tilts forward. The University Easel can handle canvases up to 84" high, and its double laminated quad base adds extra stability. Piano hinges at the joints provide maximum strength. A wide bottom tray accommodates tools, and offers two built-in containers for solvents or mediums.
