This easel has a sturdy "T" shaped base, designed especially to make working from a chair possible. Sandia is for the painter who wants to sit and paint. It's also ideal for use with a wheelchair. Sandia features an adjustable and removable drawing board with a Melamine® surface. Maximum canvas height is 52". Remove the drawing board, and Sandia can accommodate a 76" canvas. Sandia's unique forward tilt feature is for pastelists. Many illustrators and pastel painters like to use the drawing board to hold materials and supplies, while sketching in an upright or forward tilting position. Like all Best Easels, it's made of beautiful, durable, hand-rubbed and oil-finished solid oak. The base is double laminated, and the joints are constructed with hinges for maximum strength. Sandia ships in two boxes, weighing 25 lbs and 8 lbs. Light assembly is required. |
