This is a beautiful, stable, polyurethane material used to make hard, high-clarity casts. It's optically clear, non-yellowing, and UV resistant. Clear Casting Resin consists of 2 parts — a prepolymer, and a curative — that are mixed in a 1 to 1 ratio by volume. Once mixed, it allows 16 minutes of working time before it starts to gel. For maximum results, a post cure is required at 160°F for 8 hours or at 70°F for 24 hours. Practically no shrinkage occurs during cure. For a smooth, glossy surface on the finished cast, use a silicone based release agent such as Synlube 1711. 2 quart kit. |
