Chromalux creates the most natural indoor light! This unit can be used with a special 4200°K full-spectrum bulb that's calculated to be the closest possible incandescent simulation to daylight. (It's not suitable for photography with daylight film.) With a color temperature of 4200°K, Chromalux lighting is the perfect light source for mixing colors, for illuminating a canvas during painting, and for model/subject lighting. It does not distort, but enhances colors by absorbing yellow and dulling other components. As a result, the light is purified. The blue, green, red, and violet components are strengthened, without producing an imbalance of one color over another. The complete unit ships with a heavy-duty 10" diameter aluminum reflector that swivels to all angles. It has a metal socket with a wooden knob that stays cool to the touch. The sturdy aluminum, 3-section stand extends up to 7 feet tall, and folds and telescopes down for storage. It has an 8 ft power cord, which can be plugged into any ordinary wall outlet.
