For pastel techniques, draw on bisque before finishing with a transparent glaze. Sketching on bisque results in pebbled appearance. Blend by rubbing with fingers. Obtain a watercolor effect by brushing sketches with water. Amaco Lead-Free Underglaze Crayons work best with clear transparent glazes at Cone 5. Individual crayons measure approximately 2-3/4" × 7/16" (7 cm × 1 cm), and are slightly irregular in shape. Set No. 1 — Eight colors in a plastic hinged box, including Turquoise, Yellow, Rose, Dark Blue, Brown, Dark Green, Black, and White. Set No. 2 — Eight colors in a plastic hinged box, including Lilac, Yellow-Green, Gray, Medium Green, Light Brown, Blue-Green, Dark Brown, and Medium Blue. Caution — Set No. 1 contains one crayon, Dark Blue, that contains soluble cobalt, which bears the ACMI CL Caution Label. Follow directions for handling Dark Blue with care. Always wash hands thoroughly after use. All other crayons are rated AP Non-Toxic. |
