Cone 05 (1915° Fahrenheit) Amaco Crystaltex Glazes consist of a basic color with the addition of one or more crystals of contrasting colors. Multi-color can be subtle as with CTL-32 Chocolate Chip, which fires to a creamy yellow peppered with rich brown or they can be bright and flashy like the red, white, and blue of CTL-54 firecracker. No two pieces will ever be alike. Glazes come in liquid form. Glaze series are certified as non-toxic include 1, 3, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 31, 35, 36, 41, 42, 61, and 65. Glazes series that bear the Art & Creative Materials Institute warning include 20, 22, 26, 32, 33, 34, 43, 50, and 54. CTL series glazes indicated by a double asterik (**) are lead-free. Those marked with a single asterisk (*) are safe for spraying; however, brushing is recommended for this glaze. |
