A classic portrait-style frame, the Jardin Frame has an informal elegance that is post-Victorian, with clean, simple lines. Its hardwood veneer has a gold accent line, gold foil-embossed trim, and a gold side edge. It is available with or without a natural oatmeal liner, in Mahagony, Cherry, and Walnut. The moulding measures 2 3/4" wide with the liner, and 2" wide without. Choose the Jardin Frame when either the artwork or the décor is a period piece, from Art Nouveau to Art Deco. It's a formal frame that rebels against Victorian formalism. The Jardin Frame has a very low profile, and is suitable for matted or mounted works on paper, but not for stretched canvas or heavy boards. The frame can be used with glass or Plexiglas® where protection is needed. The liner raises the profile of the frame slightly.
