Grog

Great Low Prices on Firing Clays

Back

Add to clay (by wedging in) to promote uniform drying and structural strength to both hand-built and wheel-thrown pottery. Also adds texture to finished piece, providing a visual and tactile appeal.

Grog

Grog is pre-fired clay that is ground up and screened to a specific particle size. It promotes even drying, reduces shrinkage, and adds texture to finished pieces. Grog also adds structural strength to both hand-built and wheel thrown pottery. This is a medium mesh grog. It can be added to clay by wedging in. Rough, groggy clays, while not suited to dinnerware, have visual and tactile appeal. 25 lbs (11 kg) and non-toxic.
