He travels the globe seeking the finest coffees and brews them at his own store on Broadway, and packages custom blends for some of the finest restaurants in the country. We wanted to develop our own blends to serve in our new stores, a line of coffees designed to meet the different moods of art making. Our buyer Marisol Peinado, herself a trained barista, got together with Intelligentsia and a few thirsty artists and came up with three distinct and amazing choices. Blick Studio Blend— Just the right note of inspiration in a rich, lush cup. Think caramel and milk chocolate with a subtle hint of spice. The hands-down favorite in our tastings. Blick Studio Blend combines coffees exclusively from Latin America. Blick Studio Bold Blend— The ultimate blend to help you burn the midnight oil, Blick Studio Bold Blend is a stronger blend of roast coffees from the Pacific Islands, balances with a jewel from Central America. Notes of butterscotch mingle with smoke and dark chocolate. Blick Master Blend — 100% Organic and Certified Fair Trade— Intellegentsia is a small coffee company that cares about its coffee growers and honors the traditions of organic farming. We knew our customers would also care, and so is with pride that we label this our Master Blend. Primarily a Mexican coffee from the hills of Oaxaca, this blend is unbelievably sweet and complex. Vanilla and cognac combine with chocolate and dark fruit. Blick Studio Mug— Our own favorite heavy white stoneware coffee mug keeps any hot drink hotter longer — but makes Blick Studio coffees taste especially divine!
