When operating on a high setting (200 CFM), the Austin Jr. Mobile Air Cleaner can clean a room with an area of up to 700 feet. The motor has a long life, and the cleaner is easy to maintain because no filter changes are required. Air flow from the steel intake housing (upper filter deck) is directed to one side. No filter changes are necessary; just vacuum from the outside. The filter is composed of 6 1/2 lbs of solid activated carbon and zeolite, and traps 99.97% of particulates larger than 0.3 microns. The filter has a 5-year guarantee. A centrifugal fan has 3-speed control. The motor is mounted on shock absorbers, and rated for continuous high RPM, long-life duty. Power consumption, at the highest setting, is 80 watts. The baked-on powder coat finish is non-gloss. The surface is lightly textured, and resists scratching and smudging. |
