Lascaux created these brilliant metallic shades, made from real metallic powders and the finest select acrylic polymers. The stabilized metal alloys are set in an acrylic emulsion, and are ideal for faux finishes. In a wet state, they will react with patina solutions. When dry, the colors are lightfast and water resistant, and will not darken with age. A final coating of Lascaux Transparent Varnish-UV is recommended to protect exposed works against ultraviolet radiation. The Gold shades, Britannia Silver, and Copper are suitable only for qualified outdoor use. Suitable for non-alkaline grounds. Note — In contrast with iridescent and pearl acrylics from many other manufacturers, which are made from aluminum silicate (mica), Lascaux's Studio Bronze Acrylics contain real bronze powders. Lascaux also offers the Perlacryl Iridescent Acrylics, a range of pearl colors with aluminum silicate.
